"account": "The National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Aisha Ibrahim, will serve another term after winning the election unopposed during the association's National Delegates Conference in Kano State. Alongside Ibrahim, National Secretary Wasilah Ladan and several other officers were reelected after passing the screening process conducted by the NAWOJ Electoral Committee.\n\nHowever, the election cycle witnessed the disqualification of two candidates: Chizoba Ogbeche, the Vice President of NAWOJ Zone D, North Central, and Rabi Mohammad, the Vice President Zone A. Ogbeche was barred from contesting due to her failure to attend congresses at her chapel level, while Mohammad's appointment as Director of Social Mobilisation at the Sokoto State Universal Basic Education Board disqualified her under the union's constitution, which bars members from voting or being voted for if they hold political positions.\n\nFollowing the disqualifications, Fatima Rasheed from Kwara State secured the unopposed position of Vice President Zone D, whereas Hannatu Mohammed, a former Katsina chapter chairperson, was left to contest the remaining contested position unopposed. The NAWOJ Triennial Delegates Conference, scheduled to take place in Kano State, will see delegates from across the country gather to elect the officers who will steer the association's affairs for the subsequent three years.",
