"account": "Amersfoort Mayor Lucas Bolsius has expressed a desire for a previously cancelled Jewish exhibition, \"300 Years Amersfoort Shul\", to proceed. The exhibition, which has been years in the making, was cancelled due to the situation in the Middle East and rising global tensions. However, the museum has agreed to explore the possibility of staging the exhibition. Alexander van Dijkhuizen, chairman of the Jewish Community of Amersfoort, stated that the cancellation of such performances is becoming increasingly common across the cultural sector. Mayor Bolsius met with the museum and the Jewish community on Thursday to discuss the exhibition's future, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging Jewish history and present-day life in the city. The Amersfoort Synagogue, which is the oldest functioning Ashkenazi synagogue in Western Europe, dates back to 1727.",
