"account": "In a Kenyan court, cult leader Paul Mackenzie has been sentenced to 200 years in prison for orchestrating the deaths of 191 individuals, comprising 190 children, after ordering his followers to fast to death believing they would meet Jesus, according to BBC reports. The convictions came alongside 28 co-defendants in October over the killings linked to Mackenzie's religious group in Shakahola forest, near Kenya’s coast. Justice Diana Mochache delivered the sentence on Friday, stating that Mackenzie bore \"primary criminal culpability\" for directing his followers to engage in deadly fasts. The sentences for homicide and starvation, totaling 200 years, will run concurrently, but consecutively, making his total prison term 200 years.",
