"account": "KUALA LUMPUR: Families of the 54 Malaysian victims lost in the Nepal-Tibet floods on August 26 will receive a one-time payment of RM10,000 each, according to a decision made by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during a cabinet meeting. The Malaysian National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) will determine the order of payment to the families, with priority given to the spouse, parents, and then children. The Human Resources Minister, R. Ramanan, announced this decision after meeting with cabinet members and visiting the 24th Deepavali Carnival 2026 at Bukit Jalil National Stadium. Ramanan instructed K. Raveendran Nair, the director-general of the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (Mitra), to gather necessary details from the Finance Ministry and contact the families' next of kin. The floods, caused by a glacial ice and rock landslide in Tibet's upper catchment area of Lhende Khola, resulted in 1,451 deaths and left around 5,700 people missing, including over 600 foreign nationals.",
