"summary": "Newcastle United defender Amar Dedic is involved in a police investigation after being spotted carrying a bow and arrows at a beauty spot in Northumberland. Yahoo Sports reports that the 24-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international was traveling in a car with a friend when they were stopped by police following a report from a member of the public. The stop occurred approximately seven miles from where they were first seen, and Yahoo Sports states that six police vehicles, including armed police, were dispatched to the scene.\n\nPolice searched the vehicle and seized the bow and arrows but determined that Dedic and his companion posed no threat to the public. BBC Sport has been informed that Dedic had no ill intention and has fully cooperated with the investigation. While Northumbria Police confirmed that enquiries are ongoing, the force has not named the defender.\n\nThe incident took place on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports reports that Newcastle goalkeeper Mark Gillespie and former defender Paul Dummett arrived at the scene by chance to offer assistance while police were speaking to Dedic. Newcastle United has not commented on the matter.",
