"account": "Republican lawmakers are demanding Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang provide congressional testimony regarding his connections with a Megaspeed data center executive. The chairmen of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Intelligence Committee, and the China Special Committee have invited Huang to a closed-door meeting on November 18th. According to a letter from the three lawmakers, the New York Times was the first to report on this case. They intend to question Huang about Nvidia's security measures against \"foreign enemy espionage.\" The lawmakers note that recent reports raise serious national security concerns about China's access to sensitive US technology and information. They emphasize the importance of Congress determining the extent to which US national security has been compromised. The letter does not specify the sources for the lawmakers' claims. The New York Times reported last week that US intelligence services were monitoring Alice Huang, a manager at Singapore-based Megaspeed, who is a Chinese citizen. The US authorities classified her as a Chinese government informant. Megaspeed had previously been investigated by US authorities for potential chip smuggling; no charges were filed.",
"summary": "Nvidia boss Huang is said to have had contact with a manager who US intelligence services likely classify as a Chinese informant. US President Trump did not pass on warnings to him.",
