"account": "Airbnb plans to introduce an AI travel agent next year, as revealed during its Q3 2026 earnings call. The company aims to create an AI-native Airbnb experience that assists users in researching, planning, and booking trips.\n\nAirbnb claims the AI agent will respond to user requests with custom interfaces tailored to specific travel needs. CEO Brian Chesky highlighted the agent's ability to generate interfaces for car rentals, itinerary planning, and co-traveler invitations. The AI will also provide 24-hour safety support and assist with post-booking issues such as changes, refunds, and rebookings.\n\nThe AI agent is designed to help guests explore options, make decisions with their travel companions, and take action directly within Airbnb. Chesky stated that the agent will eventually help users plan their entire trip in one place, across various accommodations, services, and experiences, even beyond Airbnb's offerings.\n\nWhile other AI agents like Meta's Muse and invite-only Instinct excel at routine tasks, Chesky believes that travel planning requires a more personalized approach. That's why Airbnb is developing its own AI agent. The new AI travel agent, expected to launch in the first half of 2027, is distinct from Airbnb's existing AI customer support assistant.",
