"account": "Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery is nearing an agreement on a new contract extension, which would see him take on an even larger role in the club's long-term development. Emery met with the club's leadership on Wednesday to discuss the future, with all parties eager to extend his tenure at Villa Park beyond his current contract, which runs until 2029. The discussions centered on jointly planning the club's strategic direction, with positive talks indicating a clear commitment to Emery's continued leadership. Emery, who led Villa to the Europa League title in May, his first major trophy in 30 years, sees this new deal as an opportunity to further enhance the team's competitive edge. The new contract, including the specifics of its length and financial terms, is expected to be announced within the coming weekend. Despite rumors linking him to a move to Manchester United, Emery remains committed to Villa, a club he joined in 2022 after a distinguished career at Arsenal, Sevilla, and Paris St-Germain. Under his management, Villa secured a fourth-place finish in the Premier League and won silverware in Europe, and currently sits tenth in the league after a strong start to the season.",
