"account": "President Donald Trump met privately with Russian President Vladimir Putin's envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, on Thursday after the Russian official appeared with Ukrainian representatives at a White House event. Trump did not disclose what was discussed, but predicted a deal could emerge soon to resolve the Russian war in Ukraine. A US delegation is set to mediate talks in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11 between Russia and Ukraine. Trump claimed the war was close to being settled and might involve all of Europe. Though Trump has frequently predicted an agreement to end Europe's deadliest conflict since World War Two, negotiations have intensified in recent weeks.\n\nFirst Lady Melania Trump facilitated a rare face-to-face event with Ukrainian officials at the White House to mark a six-day ceasefire she helped broker in Oleshky, a Russian-controlled city. The ceasefire expired on Sunday. Dmitriev was among the officials at the event, which took place in Oleshky. Melania Trump, who was \"involved in every stage of the planning,\" urged the Ukrainian delegation to continue her peace efforts. The Ukrainian delegation presented the first lady with a state award and a letter addressed to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Dmitriev previously met with Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in the White House in 2025.",
