"summary": "First Lady Melania Trump called for continued cooperation between Russia and Ukraine during a White House meeting attended by representatives from both nations. Speaking at the event, the first lady highlighted a local ceasefire in the southern Ukrainian city of Oleshky, which The Korea Times reports lasted six days beginning October 27. According to The Korea Times, the first lady began working with officials through her representative, Marc Beckman, in September and stated that both countries signed written agreements recognizing her as the exclusive intermediary, leading to a ceasefire agreement on October 23.\n\nNPR reports the six-day pause in the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky comes as the administration increases efforts to secure an agreement to end the war in Ukraine. CBS News identifies Marc Beckman as Melania Trump's exclusive senior adviser.\n\nDuring the same day, President Donald Trump met with Kirill Dmitriev, an envoy for Vladimir Putin, following an unscheduled meeting in the Oval Office. The New Straits Times reports that Trump predicted a \"very big\" agreement with Russia that could involve all of Europe in addition to the war in Ukraine.",
