"summary": "Keanu Reeves has closed a deal to return as John Wick in an untitled animated prequel movie from Lionsgate. According to Variety, the story recounts the origins of the hitman as he completes the \"Impossible Task,\" which involved killing all of his rivals in a single night. TheWrap reports that this task allowed Wick to move out from under his gangland overlords on the High Tables.\n\nLionsgate announced the greenlit project during an earnings call. The film will be directed by Shannon Tindle and written by Ryan and Kaz Firpo. Production involves Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee for Thunder Road, Chad Stehelski for 87Eleven Entertainment, and Point Grey, with Reeves also serving as a producer.",
