"summary": "Turkey's parliament has ratified the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, a defence pact between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, paving the way for Ankara to provide military support to Riyadh. The agreement, signed in August, stipulates that an attack on one party is considered an attack on all, providing a basis for Turkey to offer assistance to Saudi Arabia amid the ongoing conflict with Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen. A ruling party lawmaker in Turkey has indicated that the country will also seek parliamentary approval for deploying military personnel to Saudi Arabia under the pact.",
