"account": "Russell Brand, the British comedian and actor, has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault, facing a potential lengthy prison sentence. A jury at Southwark Crown Court in London convicted him of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault, following a four-week trial. The jury deliberated for eight-and-a-half hours before delivering the verdicts. Brand was taken into custody immediately after the verdicts and refused bail, with sentencing set for the following Monday. The allegations against Brand span from 1999 to 2009, involving six women who claimed he used his fame to force them into sexual activity. Despite his claims of consensual sex, the evidence presented by the prosecution included testimony from the accusers and his own admissions of promiscuity in the past. During the trial, Brand displayed no emotion as the verdicts were read, and he mouthed \"I'm good, I'm good\" to his defense counsel upon leaving the dock. The judge warned Brand of a \"significant custodial term\" and emphasized that no one is above the law, regardless of their fame or status. Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy praised the bravery of the women who reported their experiences, emphasizing that their testimony led to this outcome. Brand's father expressed shock and dismay at the verdicts, describing them as \"devastating.\"",
