"account": "During the recent local government elections, the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS) reported the recording of 21 politically motivated murder cases. In response, the security cluster has vowed to maintain security operations throughout the voting process and beyond the announcement of election results to ensure law and order. This includes monitoring potential tensions and responding to any incidents that may arise due to political parties and their supporters reacting to the election outcome.\n\nFollowing Wednesday's local government elections, members of NATJOINTS briefed the media at the Result Operations Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. Tebello Mosikili, the SAPS Deputy National Commissioner responsible for Policing, explained that they have entered the post-election phase and will continue to monitor the situation until the last vote has been calculated, even after the official announcement of election results. Mosikili emphasized that this extended period of security monitoring is part of their security plan, ensuring that the country remains calm and law-abiding while the election process concludes.",
