"account": "The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has strongly criticized a Federal High Court ruling that invalidated the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. The party condemned the decision as a threat to Nigeria's democracy and rejected the rainbow coalition promoted by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. SDP National Chairman, Prof. Sadiq Gombe, stated that the party would resist any actions that undermine democracy and deny Nigerians the right to freely choose their leaders. Gombe argued that the current president and ruling party emerged as winners through democratic processes, despite opposition within their own party and the previous presidency. The SDP's position follows the court's decision that the Mark-led Caretaker Committee, which conducted the presidential primary, was illegally constituted. Gombe warned that any involvement in a proposed rainbow coalition would face disciplinary action within the SDP.",
