"account": "Comedy Central's \"The Daily Show\" host Michael Kosta took aim at Fox News and other right-wing anchors who have attempted to minimize the scope of Democrats' recent triumphs in the midterm elections. Kosta playfully reminded the Fox correspondents of their recent defeat in Kansas, stating, \"You guys lost Kansas!\" As Kosta humorously recapped, \"They won the Senate. They won the House. They won governors races. They won Best Animated Picture. They won the rigged claw machine at the arcade.\" The comedian emphasized not only the quantity of seats won by the Democratic Party but also the victories in conservative states such as South Carolina, Texas, and Kansas. He even jokingly referred to the victory in South Carolina as electing a \"gay, Black socialist.\" Kosta also took issue with conservative pundits who have downplayed the significance of the midterm results. He specifically targeted former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who had previously criticized the mainstream media for not adequately covering Trump's executive orders. Kosta played a montage of Trump's orders, including renaming Lake Ontario as \"Lake America\" and banning paper straws in federal buildings. He joked, \"Yes, yes. Thanks to Donald Trump, we can now use plastic straws when siphoning gas out of our neighbor’s car because we can’t afford it.\" Kosta questioned the Fox anchors' denial of the magnitude of the losses, ending with a sarcastic remark about the absurdity of comparing a political loss to a messy breakup.",
