"account": "IFPI, the trade organization for the recorded music industry worldwide, launched three initiatives in June to address pressing concerns affecting the global music business. Victoria Oakley, who became IFPI's CEO in April 2024, emphasized the importance of tackling these issues promptly due to the rapidly evolving technological landscape, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). The three initiatives focus on identifying and tagging AI-generated songs on streaming services, excluding AI-generated songs from international charts, and combating streaming fraud. Oakley, a former British diplomat and corporate consultant, believes that the music industry must navigate the complex interplay between technology, creativity, business, and government. She highlighted that while the broader AI conversation extends beyond music, the sector needs to be better understood and supported. Oakley stressed the need for governments to help establish appropriate systems and guardrails to ensure music continues to thrive in a Gen AI world.",
