"account": "British comedian Russell Brand was convicted on Thursday at London's Southwark Crown Court of rape and sexual assault. The 51-year-old, known for his roles in films like \"Get Him to the Greek\" and \"Arthur,\" and his past marriage to singer Katy Perry, faced charges between 1999 and 2009. Brand denied the accusations, claiming the encounters were consensual or re-imagined. The court heard from six complainants, who remain anonymous, detailing their experiences. The most severe charge involved a 2009 rape case, where a woman met Brand after a gig in his dressing room. She alleged he then raped her during a consensual encounter and demanded she clean up the mess. Brand was also convicted of sexual assaults in a London bar in 2004 and a 2009 incident where he demanded a massage before an intimate act. Despite the conviction, he was acquitted of two other rape charges and an attempted indecent assault. Judge Joel Bennathan stated that Brand would be sentenced on the following Monday, and he may face a lengthy prison term.",
