"account": "The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has implemented new guidelines to manage the verification of plot files and expedite the handling of property-related cases, according to a November 5, 2026 notification by the Office of the Member (Estate). The directive targets officials at the Land and Rehabilitation Directorate who have been initiating plot file verifications without proper justification or clear grounds, leading to delays and inconveniences for applicants. To prevent such issues, CDA has mandated that verification of a plot file can only commence after receiving authorization from the Director General (Land and Estate Management). Furthermore, the Director General is required to establish and announce specific timeframes for finishing plot file checks and handling applications for No Demand Certificates (NDCs) and other estate-related affairs at the respective departments. Under these provisions, it is recommended that no document should sit idle at one desk for over three days. CDA maintained that these reforms are designed to boost administrative efficiency, ensure timely resolution of property-related cases, and avoid unnecessary delays in the Estate Wing.",
