"account": "The Nigeria Customs Service's Apapa Area Command reported a revenue increase of N20 billion to N302 billion in October 2026, marking a 7.13% month-on-month growth. Public Relations Officer Isah Sulaiman attributed the growth to the command's focus on strengthening revenue generation while facilitating legitimate trade. The performance was above the N300 billion threshold, following a record-breaking collection of over N323 billion in July 2026. Comptroller Murtala Mu’azu, who assumed duty in September, emphasized stakeholder engagement, operational efficiency, and improved service delivery, which were reflected in a meeting with port users in October. The command intensified efforts to review and streamline the processing of transire, reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, and improve inter-departmental coordination. They also intercepted 437 sachets of cannabis sativa, weighing 392.5 kilograms, during the period.",
