"account": "In his extensive photography career spanning the mid-1970s to 2025, Alex Webb has captured life across 40 diverse US cities. Initially working in black and white, the Puerto Rican-born artist switched to vibrant colors, a style that remains distinctive in his latest work, \"Walking Blues.\" This Aperture book, published in 2025, draws inspiration from blues music, a cornerstone of American culture. In an interview with Foto Tapeta, Webb expressed his fascination with the energy and immediacy of street life in places like the US-Mexico border, Haiti, and the American South, where he felt a stark contrast to the reserved nature of life in New England. His decision to adopt color photography, using Kodachrome until its retirement, seems to have been driven by his quest to encapsulate the dynamic essence of street life in America.",
