"account": "Paris, November 5 - Carlos Alcaraz earned a walkover into the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters on Thursday following Matteo Berrettini's withdrawal due to an elbow injury. Berrettini, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, cited ongoing arm pain and announced his withdrawal on social media. Alcaraz, the top-ranked player remaining in the tournament, is now set to face either Arthur Fils or Taylor Fritz on Friday to advance to the semi-finals. The Spaniard, who has yet to win the Paris Masters, will take on either the American 12th seed Tommy Paul or Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in the last eight. Meanwhile, local player Fils will headline the night session against American 11th seed Fritz, while former world number two Casper Ruud of Norway will compete against Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff. The Paris Masters suffered a series of upsets on Wednesday, with world number one Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Frances Tiafoe, and Alex de Minaur among those eliminated from the tournament.",
