"summary": "DC Studios has tapped filmmaker Francis Galluppi to write a new movie featuring the supernatural detective John Constantine. According to the Daily Times, the project is expected to explore the character through a horror-focused approach. Deadline reports that the film is currently in very early development and that there are no other attachments at this time.\n\nGalluppi is the filmmaker behind the upcoming seventh \"Evil Dead\" movie, \"Evil Dead Wrath,\" according to TheWrap. The character, also known as The Hellblazer, was created in 1985's \"Swamp Thing #37\" by Alan Moore, Stephen R. Bissette, and John Totleben. While Constantine has appeared on screen previously, including a 2005 film starring Keanu Reeves, this new project is a separate endeavor for the studio.",
