"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — Flash floods struck several regions in Puncak Alam, Selangor, on this afternoon following an extended period of heavy rainfall, submerging numerous roads. The Malay Mail reported observing an overflowing flood retention pond at Taman Seri Alam in Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh, with torrents of water pouring into an adjacent residential zone. According to Harian Metro, additional impacted zones included Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam, Alam Suria, and the Jalan Meru area near the Kampung Bukit Cerakah junction. Video footage displayed muddy floodwaters inundating roads and a parking lot close to UiTM Puncak Alam, while photographs depicted vehicles navigating through waterlogged streets. Prolonged heavy rain persisted in Puncak Alam up until approximately 5pm. Authorities have not yet verified the count of individuals affected, road circumstances, or the occurrence of any emergencies. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) had predicted thunderstorms throughout a significant portion of Selangor this afternoon and evening, encompassing Kuala Selangor.",
