"summary": "Acting Minister Zaqy Mohamad is set to travel to Egypt in the coming weeks to discuss humanitarian aid for Gaza, according to a report by Mothership. During his visit, Zaqy will meet with Egyptian authorities and humanitarian partners to explore ways Singapore can further support relief efforts in the region. This trip comes in the wake of the launch of SG for Humanity, a new national network aimed at unifying the government, NGOs, and communities to bolster relief efforts for Gaza. The network, facilitated by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), will initially bring together four established humanitarian partners: Humanity Matters, Mercy Relief, Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF), and Singapore Red Cross (SRC). Since October 2023, Singapore has contributed over S$25 million in humanitarian aid to Gaza, supporting essential needs such as food, healthcare, clean water, shelter, and education. The Government also provided S$1 million in seed funding to the four humanitarian organisations in 2025 to support their fundraising and relief efforts. Further details about SG for Humanity's upcoming initiatives will be announced in due course.",
