"account": "The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) successfully thwarted an armed robbery attempt along the Kaduna-Zaria highway early Sunday morning. According to Sani Garba, the Command Public Relations Officer, the operation took place near the agency's checkpoint close to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic in Zaria. The incident occurred around 3 am when one of the victims managed to escape and raise the alarm. Garba stated that the NDLEA operatives swiftly responded to the scene, engaging the suspects in a gun battle, resulting in their escape. The intervention prevented any potential abduction of motorists and road users, as confirmed by the video footage circulating on social media. The abandoned vehicles, including articulated trucks, were seen along the highway with their engines running, and some drivers were reportedly absent. The operatives documented the aftermath, and an officer in the video mentioned that the suspected robbers fled upon spotting the approaching NDLEA personnel. Garba assured motorists of the command's commitment to supporting other security agencies in maintaining safety along the highway and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.",
