"account": "Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has denied any involvement in a court judgment that recognised former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha as the All Progressives Congress candidate for Imo West Senatorial District in the 2027 election. Wike stated that he did not file the lawsuit, nor did he participate in the court case. He dismissed allegations of him being behind the decision as mischievous and expressed that he neither governed Imo State nor is a member of the APC. Wike also criticized a reported warning issued by Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma, urging supporters not to back a \"Rainbow Coalition\" of politicians across party lines in Imo State, calling it uncivilised. The controversy arose from a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that replaced Uzodimma with Okorocha as the APC candidate for the senatorial district in the upcoming general election. The decision was based on Okorocha securing the majority of lawful votes in the May 18, 2026 primary. The Imo State chapter of the APC and Uzodimma have both rejected the judgment, with Uzodimma planning to appeal the ruling.",
