"account": "At an APC Presidential campaign rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State on Wednesday, tensions flared briefly between supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate and the APC candidate. The Social Democratic Party candidate, former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, was angered by Governor Abdullahi Sule's chant of \"Wadada Gwamna\" (meaning \"Wadada for Governor\") to promote his APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada. In response, Adamu's supporters began chanting \"IG Gwamna\" (meaning \"IG for Governor\") in support of Mohammed Abubakar Adamu. The conflicting chants quickly escalated into a loud clash of opposing slogans across the rally grounds. Security personnel quickly intervened to calm the situation and prevent further disruption. Adamu's supporters, however, insisted they were not there to create a disturbance, but to demonstrate backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid, even though they were supporting SDP candidate Mohammed Abubakar Adamu for the Nasarawa State governorship seat. The incident did not disrupt the overall event, as Governor Sule continued his address, urging attendees to vote for APC candidates in the upcoming general election. The rally was attended by high-ranking officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, among other key party leaders.",
