"summary": "Hanwha Aerospace Co. has officially broken ground on a guided rocket manufacturing plant in Gorzow Wielkopolski, western Poland, in a joint venture with Poland's WB Group. The plant, set for completion by 2028, will be Hanwha Aerospace's first guided weapons production facility in Europe, with the primary focus on manufacturing CGR-080 guided rockets for the HOMAR-K, the Polish version of the Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS). The joint venture, established in September 2025, will produce and supply these guided rockets to Poland's Armament Agency, with Hanwha Aerospace transferring manufacturing technology to HWBAS under a licensing agreement. This expansion of Hanwha Aerospace's European production footprint is expected to bolster Poland's domestic defense manufacturing capabilities, as Poland has become a significant customer for South Korea's defense industry, signing procurement deals for various Korean weapons systems.",
