"account": "German politician Hubert Aiwanger, 55, was discovered dead in his hotel room in Berlin on Wednesday, according to police. The deputy premier of Bavaria and leader of the Free Voters party, Aiwanger had been scheduled to attend the opening of his party's office but had reportedly missed it due to feeling unwell. Bavarian state premier Markus Soeder described the loss as \"an absolute tragedy,\" expressing deep shock and offering his condolences to Aiwanger's family. The cause of the politician's death remains unclear, with police and prosecutors launching an investigation to determine the specific circumstances and rule out any involvement of third parties. Aiwanger, who had been a junior partner in the regional Bavarian government led by Soeder's Christian Social Union, had been head of the Free Voters party since 2006, bringing his party into the state government for the first time in 2018. In 2023, the politician faced national controversy when Nazi pamphlets were found in his schoolbag from his teenage years in the late 1980s; he apologized but refused to resign. Aiwanger, who lived with his partner, was survived by two children.",
