"account": "Brandon Aiyuk, the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, has initiated the process to return to the NFL after undergoing ACL/MCL reconstruction surgery in 2024. On Wednesday, Aiyuk submitted the required paperwork for reinstatement from the 49ers' reserve/left squad list. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed this development. Aiyuk, who has not played an NFL game since his injury, intends to report to the team's training facility on Friday. When asked about Aiyuk's potential return on Wednesday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed no expectation, stating, \"None. I have no expectation. I’ve kind of moved on with that mentally.\" Despite several key injuries to the 49ers' wide receiver position, Shanahan remains firm on not wanting Aiyuk back. The team has two options: reinstate Aiyuk with the hope of trading him before the next week's deadline, or release him. Currently, the 49ers have a 6-1 record for the 2026 season, with their sole loss coming against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. The team, fresh off a bye week, is preparing for their Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.",
