"account": "The Seattle Seahawks named Drew Lock to start at quarterback for their Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, as regular starter Sam Darnold is out with a quadriceps injury suffered in a loss to Chicago last Monday. Coach Mike Macdonald confirmed that Lock is still recovering from an elbow injury sustained during a recent practice. Despite being able to throw, the extent of his recovery remains unclear. Lock has been sidelined for several games and has only filled in as the third-string quarterback. While head coach Macdonald did not rule out signing another quarterback, it does not appear that Darnold will join the injured reserve list. With an 4-4 record, the Seahawks are in a precarious position, as three NFC North teams are expected to secure playoff spots. The team needs a victory over Arizona on Sunday, followed by a win against the Raiders the following week before their Week 11 bye. Although the Seahawks have demonstrated their ability to dominate the Cardinals in the past, such as a 31-7 win in Week 2, Arizona has shown they can be a formidable spoiler. The Cardinals upset the Rams on the road earlier in the season and recently defeated the Cowboys in an overtime thriller. Seattle cannot afford to underestimate their division rivals in this pivotal week.",
