"account": "New York's Attorney General Letitia James has appointed former federal prosecutor Jacqueline Kelly to lead an investigation into an alleged gang rape at Cornell University, according to a recent announcement. The 2024 incident, detailed in a recent lawsuit, involves a female student who claims she was pressured to consume ketamine, assaulted, and raped by seven male students on the campus of the Ivy League institution. Cornell has faced criticism for not adequately punishing the men involved in the alleged rape, leading to widespread outrage. Kelly, who has a proven track record as a seasoned prosecutor, will oversee the investigation, ensuring a fair and comprehensive examination of the allegations. Kelly previously oversaw the conviction of Sean \"Diddy\" Combs in a prostitution-related case during a high-profile trial that shed light on sexual marathons organized by the disgraced music producer. She expressed gratitude to James for entrusting her with leading the investigation. All New Yorkers deserve a thorough and impartial investigation into this alleged crime, according to the report.",
