"account": "The State Police Bill, aimed at decentralizing policing functions between federal and state governments, will be transmitted to President Bola Tinubu for approval today. Following its approval by 29 of the 36 state Houses of Assembly, the bill's passage marks a significant step towards establishing state police in Nigeria. The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, expressed excitement over the endorsement, describing it as a major milestone in the push for constitutional amendment. The proposed reform seeks to give states greater responsibility for policing within their jurisdictions, while retaining the Federal Government's police structure. The next stage involves transmitting the bill to the President for assent.",
