"account": "The General Tax Authority in Qatar has extended the deadline for multinational enterprise groups and joint venture groups to register for the Global and Domestic Minimum Tax through the Dhareeba platform. The new registration deadline is set for January 31, 2027. This extension is intended to provide these groups with additional time to fulfill registration requirements and complete the process, ensuring compliance with their tax obligations. The Authority urged all eligible groups to complete their registration by the extended deadline through the Dhareeba platform. The Global and Domestic Minimum Tax framework was launched on August 2, 2026. The registration service allows groups to submit necessary data and appoint a Designated Local Entity responsible for fulfilling registration, notification, and tax return filing obligations. The extension demonstrates the Authority's dedication to supporting taxpayers and ensuring the effective implementation of the tax framework.",
