"summary": "Aminu Zang, a PDP chieftain and former Plateau State Commissioner for Works, has rejected an appointment to the APC campaign council, citing his loyalty, according to Punch Nigeria.\n\nChief John Nwodo Jnr., the former Minister of Information and immediate past President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has also rejected an appointment to Governor Peter Mbah’s Gubernatorial Campaign Council in Enugu State. Daily Post Nigeria reports that Nwodo announced his decision in a letter dated October 28, 2026, stating he would not accept the role due to a commitment to political neutrality. He explained that his former position as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo required him to remain nonpartisan to serve as a father figure, adding that he does not currently belong to any political party.\n\nIn Osun State, the APC chapter has renamed its parallel presidential campaign council to the Osun State All Progressives Congress Parliamentary Campaign Council. Ripples Nigeria reports that the council was expanded to 183 members, including all state executives, following backlash from members who questioned the rationale of the previous 168-man council. This change occurred after the APC Presidential Campaign Council appointed Governor Adeleke, a member of the Accord Party, as the state coordinator for President Tinubu's campaign.",
