"account": "Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 sales surged more than 20% in South Korea following Apple's launch of the iPhone Duo. This increase coincided with reports of display issues with the iPhone Duo, such as cracks and bright lines on the inner screen. While these problems may have influenced some potential buyers to opt for Samsung's foldable phone, there is no definitive evidence directly connecting the display concerns to the sales boost. Apple acknowledged the existence of a small number of affected devices and provided replacements. The Galaxy Z Fold8 had already seen a significant sales increase in September when Apple announced the iPhone Duo. Samsung is extending its New Galaxy AI Subscription Club until November 30, offering customers a guaranteed portion of their device's original value upon upgrading after one, two, or three years. Additionally, Samsung is providing enhanced trade-in benefits through automated Mintit ATM kiosks, allowing customers to receive extra trade-in value during November. Samsung is also running a Galaxy End of the Year Fiesta campaign through December 31, offering extra in-store shopping benefits and other incentives to attract customers during the final months of the year. Samsung's foldable smartphones have also performed well in Europe, with combined sales of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra being 45% higher than the previous-generation Galaxy Z Fold7.",
