"summary": "The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has disavowed Archbishop Chivir Chianson over his claim to the position of general secretary, asserting that he lacks authority to speak or act on behalf of the association. Additionally, CAN has distanced itself from a group using its name to mobilise support for a political candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections, reiterating its commitment to political neutrality. CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, emphasized in a statement that neither Chianson nor his group has any official affiliation or institutional relationship with the association.",
