"summary": "Gold Fields Ghana Limited has demonstrated its unwavering support for Ghana’s Black Challenge team ahead of the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico. At a meeting in Accra, the company pledged US$500,000 over two years as part of its broader US$5 million sponsorship deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Gold Fields Ghana’s Vice President and Managing Director, Elliot Twum, encouraged the players to seize their World Cup opportunity and expressed confidence in their abilities. Ghana’s amputee football team has already achieved success on the continental stage, winning the African Amputee Football Championship in 2021 and retaining the title in 2024. With corporate backing and the encouragement of Ghana’s football and Paralympic leadership, the Black Challenge now have a strong foundation to approach the World Cup with belief and aim to bring more glory to Ghana on the world stage.",
