"account": "In Umuahia, Dr. Kelechi Anosike, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, has pledged to attract investments to alleviate the high cost of living in the state. Describing Abia as the most expensive place to live, Anosike blamed the current administration's lack of investment in agriculture for the issue. Speaking to a delegation of old students from his former Comprehensive Secondary School in Bende Local Government Area, Anosike promised to prioritize agriculture as part of his campaign to reduce the cost of living. He emphasized that Abia, which boasts arable land, should not rely on food from neighboring states to feed its population. Anosike stated that farmers have received little to no encouragement from the present administration, contributing to the high cost of living. Despite receiving federal allocations around N3 billion to N4 billion monthly post-fuel subsidy removal, the state still struggles due to inadequate welfare programs. Anosike assured the old students that he would address their request for the renovation of their school, as well as the construction of library and laboratory blocks if elected. The delegation’s leader, Mr. Harold Onyeukwu, expressed their support for Anosike and urged him to uphold the values instilled in them during their school days. PDP Chairman and deputy governorship candidate, Abraham Amah, commended the delegation's loyalty, noting that Anosike's emergence as governor would revive the party in Abia State, likening his rise to the late Premier of Eastern Nigeria, Dr. Michael Okpara.",
