"account": "In the historic 2026 US Senate elections, Abdul El-Sayed made history by becoming the first Muslim elected to the Senate. The 42-year-old Egyptian-American Democrat from Michigan narrowly defeated Republican candidate Mike Rogers in a highly competitive race. El-Sayed, who received endorsements from progressive figures such as Bernie Sanders, campaigned on a platform of opposing US tax dollars supporting Israeli apartheid and genocidal wars. His victory speech was met with cheers and applause as he condemned Islamophobia and vowed to represent all Americans. El-Sayed's win marks a significant shift in American politics, signaling a growing demand for change and representation beyond the traditional boundaries.",
