"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Hyrox Malaysia has admitted it made a mistake by partnering with beer brand Carlsberg for the upcoming Hyrox Kuala Lumpur 2026 fitness race. The Youth and Sports Ministry has refused to approve the event, citing the need for Carlsberg to end its alcohol sponsorship. The organiser explained that the initial announcement of Carlsberg as a partner caused concern among the Malaysian community, who hold religious and cultural values that clash with alcohol consumption. The organisers stated, \"We got this wrong, and we take responsibility for that.\" They acknowledged the responsibility for this decision, made in collaboration with Carlsberg, and assured participants that they appreciate the time and effort invested in their training. The Hyrox Kuala Lumpur 2026 event is set to take place from December 10 to 13 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec). The decision to discontinue the partnership was made in response to the ministry's requirement, which prohibits alcohol-sponsored sporting events according to Article 5.2 of the Safe Sport Code.",
