"account": "Rugby league's international stage could benefit from a potential Tonga-Samoa World Cup final, according to former Bradford Bulls head coach Matthew Elliott. After Tonga defeated Samoa 20-18 in the Group B-C match at the 2026 Rugby League World Cup, the two Pacific island nations face each other next in Sydney. The scenario is unlikely but not impossible, as both teams have impressive histories in the tournament. Samoa reached their first-ever elite final in 2023 by defeating New Zealand, while Tonga made it to the semi-finals in 2017 after shocking New Zealand. With both teams boasting strong talent from the National Rugby League (NRL) and a history of thrilling encounters, the Tonga-Samoa clash could shake up the international rugby league scene and provide an exciting spectacle for fans.",
