"account": "On November 15, welfare groups HaiwanKu Penang and Anna Rescue are organizing an event called The Paws Affair 2026 to raise funds and awareness for stray animals in Penang. The event, held at Seven Terraces Hotel in George Town, features dining, entertainment and a fundraising auction. Anna Ayuda, founder of Anna Rescue, emphasizes that providing shelter is just the beginning of the journey towards healing, safety and a loving home for rescue animals. The event will include veterinary treatment, recovery, neutering and spaying services, which can be costly. HaiwanKu Penang founder Lois Liew highlights the importance of turning sympathy into tangible action, as animals often have no voice. The evening begins with welcome drinks and talks on animal welfare, followed by a Peranakan dinner at Kebaya Restaurant and a T-shirt modelling showcase. The main fundraising auction takes place at 9pm, featuring donated items such as designer pet outfits, original artwork and luxury goods. Attendees can also participate in a lucky draw with prizes like dining experiences and vouchers. The organizers have not set a firm fundraising target, but Ayuda acknowledges that many people are struggling financially. Donations can be made directly or by purchasing tickets for RM300 per person or RM2,400 per table.",
