"account": "Ballot machines experienced technical difficulties in a close House race in Westchester County, New York, on Tuesday. This issue prompted right-wing influencers, including Laura Loomer, Scott Pressler, and Katie Miller, to falsely accuse Democrats of attempting to steal the election, even though there is no evidence to support these claims. The Westchester County Board of Elections confirmed that all ballots will be counted after placing them in emergency bags due to the malfunction. The affected voting machines were unable to read and accept the ballots, rather than incorrectly counting them. Despite these claims, the New York State Board of Elections stated that there has been no disruption to the voting process, and all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the security and validity of every vote. The incident highlights the ongoing controversy surrounding voting machine reliability, which has been a persistent issue during the US midterms, with US President Donald Trump and his allies continuing to spread unproven allegations of voter fraud.",
