"account": "Freshman wide receiver Kenny Darby has inked an NIL deal with Nike, marking a significant milestone in Kentucky Football's rapid ascent under head coach Will Stein in his inaugural season. Despite initially committing to play for LSU, Darby has been a stalwart throughout Kentucky's eight-game campaign in 2026. At just the halfway point of his college career, the wideout has amassed an impressive 38 receptions for 507 yards and three touchdowns, tying for the team lead in receptions with Henry Boyer and leading the team in receiving yards by nearly 200. With only 13 receptions and 122 yards remaining, Darby is on track to set freshman receiving records in both categories. Kentucky, a Nike-affiliated institution, announced Darby's new contract, potentially opening the door for him to secure even more lucrative NIL deals in the future. Kentucky faces Tennessee on Saturday, a crucial game that could solidify the Cats' standing in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season.",
