"account": "Brazilian publishing platform KlooBR has been awarded the Disrupt Track prize by Sharjah’s Publishing Sustainability Fund (Onshur). The honor was bestowed on Monday (2) at the 16th Sharjah International Publishers Conference. KlooBR, which has been operational for 18 months, utilizes artificial intelligence to assist in editing books. It operates as part of Clube de Autores, an independent publishing platform. Out of 94 entries received from 17 countries, KlooBR stood out among competitors. The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) is set to invest strategically in KlooBR’s growth within the UAE, including the establishment of a headquarters in Sharjah. KlooBR offers various editorial services such as book analysis, editing, proofreading, and translation, providing a fully digital transformation of the publishing process. Brazilian authors can upload their manuscripts, and receive finished products within 24 hours, with the speed of delivery depending on the chosen service. Plans are underway to incorporate typesetting and cover design services. Sharjah’s Publishing Sustainability Fund Chair Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi highlighted during her speech the industry’s history of continuous adaptation and reinvention amidst challenges. The Sharjah International Book Fair, commencing on Wednesday (4), will witness over 3,000 publishers and 1.7 million books, with Oman serving as the event’s guest of honor.",
