"account": "Israeli prison guards allegedly shot and severely beat prominent Palestinian detainee Hassan Salameh nine times, his fiancee and a prisoner rights group claim. The attack occurred after National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed Salameh's cell and threatened to kill him on video. The Palestinian Prisoners' Society (PPS) learned of the assault following a lawyer's visit to Salameh on Monday. Salameh, 55, sustained multiple bullet wounds, as well as numerous severe beatings to his face and body. Israeli prison guards have recently increased the use of rubber-coated bullets against prisoners, causing potentially irreversible harm. Rights groups express concern over the prisoner's fate and call for transparency and protection of his physical safety.",
