The facility is situated in the Akobo area of the state capital. The opening ceremony took place on Tuesday and marked the launch of Sobowale’s book, Built From the Break. The event was attended by dignitaries, guests, and notable figures from the Nigerian film industry, including veteran actors Adebayo Salami, Ibrahim Chatta, Femi Adebayo, and Kunle Afolayan. The inauguration was also broadcast live on Sobowale’s Instagram page. The Joseph & Esther Homes facility aims to provide older adults with a secure and nurturing environment, where they can reside independently while receiving professional care and assistance. The facility operates under the motto, \"Live Well, Age Well, Thrive Together\" and describes itself as \"A Place to Call Home.\" A video from the event captured an emotional moment when Sobowale was visibly moved to tears during a tribute acknowledging her vision, resilience, and compassionate nature. Her daughter was seen consoling her during this heartfelt scene. Samuel Omotere, an experienced journalist specializing in human interest stories, pop culture, and digital trends, covered the event.
