"account": "President Donald Trump announced on a recent phone call with Fox News Channel that the United States will end its $4 billion annual aid to Israel in 2027. Instead, the U.S. will sell arms to Israel, its closest ally in the Middle East. The Republican president stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had approached him about this idea, and they have been discussing it for several years. Trump argues that Israel does not need the annual aid and considers it a significant expenditure for the U.S. to make. He also notes that the U.S. aid to Israel has become a common talking point for Democratic candidates, such as Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Trump suggests that the aid could be considered \"barter\" or exchanged for \"military aid or cash.\" The statement was made without any immediate response from Netanyahu's office.",
